Refer Clients

Refer clients to receive Christmas Hampers

Please refer to us clients who would particularly value a Christmas hamper; families and individuals who will be unable to buy items to make Christmas special unless they go without basic necessities, eg staple food items, heating.

We rely on donations and don’t know how many we will receive, so we want to focus on those in greatest need.  We provide hampers to families and individuals in RG21, RG22, RG23, RG24 and RG26.

Please send your referrals to us by completing the below Referral form and sending it to hampers@basingstoke.foodbank.org.uk by 6pm on Thursday 30th November 2023.  The password is Hampers. We realise that this date seems very early, but it takes time to group the referrals by area, assemble the hampers, get the hampers to the churches and for the churches to deliver them.

We will try to help families and individuals referred after 30th November, but we might only be able to provide festive items to clients receiving Foodbank parcels.

We will put together the hampers in Festival Place, so please visit us, if you can.  It would be great to meet you.

If you have any queries or would like more information, please contact Abigail on 07747-111336 (call or Whatsapp) or at abigail@comptonburnett.com

How to complete the Christmas Hamper Referral Form

The password for the Referral Form is hampers

  • First name: it's much nicer to have your name, rather than just a number, on your hamper.

  • Surname: used to check for duplicate referrals, because clients are often referred by more than one agency.

  • Recipient's address and postcode: used to check for duplicate referrals. Partners in a relationship are sometimes referred separately.

  • Delivery address and postcode

  • Delivery phone number: in case no one comes to the door when we try to deliver the hamper

  • Delivery notes: eg disabled, hard of hearing

  • Total number in family: so we know how large the hamper should be

  • Adults (Male M, Female F): helps us to know which toiletries to include

  • Children (B5 - boy aged 5, G2 - girl aged 2): helps us to know which small toys to include, if we have them

  • Dietary notes: eg diabetic, gluten free. Please let us know if the recipient is older, because we will try to include food that many older people enjoy, eg fruit cake.

  • Referrer's name, agency and telephone number: in case we have any queries about the referral
